Evangel Men's Soccer Aims for Bounce Back on Friday at Sterling

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Men's Soccer looks to bounce back on Friday (Oct. 17) afternoon, traveling to Sterling, Kansas to take on the Sterling College Warriors at 3:30 p.m.

OPENING STORYLINES 

  • Valor Men's Soccer fell in their matchup against Southwestern on Wednesday, 2-0.

  • Junior Caleb Kuchta leads Evangel with five goals scored so far this season.

  • Juyong Kim and Ruben Gonzalez are tied for the team lead in assists, both with three so far this year.

  • Davide Marzoli has allowed just 0.88 goals per game and has recorded 48 saves so far this season as EU's goalkeeper.

  • Evangel and Sterling match up for the third time in program history on Friday, with Evangel trailing 0-1-1 in the series. Last season, Evangel fell 0-2 on the road.

LOOKING AHEAD 

The Valor return to the road on Wednesday (Oct. 22) evening, taking on the Friends Falcons at 5:00 p.m. in Wichita, Kansas.
