YORK, Neb. – Valor Volleyball traveled to Nebraska on Saturday (Nov. 2) afternoon, taking on the York Panthers, looking to bounce back after a tough loss to Ottawa on Wednesday. Evangel dominated from start to finish, sweeping York on Saturday, 3-0.
In set one, York took advantage of Evangel attacking errors, keeping pace with the Valor at a 16-16 game. A pair of service aces from Jessica Pritchett, paired with a duo of kills from Deryan Simpson was followed by attacking errors from York, as EU took a 25-19 win in set one.
Strong serving in set two by Evangel helped EU take an early lead over York. Leading 16-11, three different service aces and multiple kills from Evangel's offense gave EU a 9-2 run that ended the set, giving EU a 25-13 win in the second set of Saturday's match.
In the third and ultimately final set of play, Evangel swung a game high .379 attacking percentage, recording 15 kills in the set. Strong and consistent play from Loran Pritchett guided the Valor to a 25-18 win in the third and final set, as EU took care of business in a Saturday road sweep of the Panthers.
