Valor Women's Soccer Travels to Sterling on Saturday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel women's soccer team travels to Sterling, Kansas, on Saturday (Oct. 26) afternoon, taking on the Sterling College Warriors at 12:00 p.m., looking to advance in the conference standings.

OPENING STORYLINES 

  • Evangel Women's Soccer played to a competitive 0-0 draw on Wednesday with Southwestern.

  • The Valor currently hold a 6-6-2 record and have earned 16 points in conference play.

  • McKenzie Calhoun leads the Valor in nearly all offensive categories, currently with 25 shots, 13 of which were on goal, and four goals.

  • Rylee Clapp has recorded 80 saves so far this season, averaging 6.1 per game.

  • If the season were to end today, Evangel Women's Soccer would be the fifth seed in the conference tournament and travel to Avila for the conference tournament quarterfinals.

  • Evangel will match up with Sterling for just the second time in program history, leading in the series, 1-0, after a home win last season, 1-0.

LOOKING AHEAD

Evangel Women's Soccer competes in their final regular season road match of the season on Wednesday (Oct. 30) afternoon, taking on the Ottawa Braves at 5:00 p.m.
