SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel women's soccer team competes in their penultimate home game of the season, hosting the Southwestern College Moundbuilders at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 23) evening.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel Women's Soccer returned home and earned a 2-0 win over McPherson on senior day last Saturday.

The Valor currently hold a 6-6-1 record, building back up after starting the conference season off with losses.

McKenzie Calhoun leads the Valor in nearly all offensive categories, currently with 24 shots, 12 of which were on goal, and four goals.

Dajah Boykin earned her third goal of the season last Saturday while Makayla Myers scored her second, Saturday's game winner.

Rylee Clapp has recorded 76 saves so far this season, averaging 6.3 per game.

If the season were to end today, Evangel Women's Soccer would be the fifth seed in the conference tournament and travel to Southwestern for the conference tournament quarterfinals.

Evangel will match up with Southwestern for just the second time in program history, trailing in the series, 0-1, after falling on the road last season, 1-2. Ava Campbell scored Evangel's lone goal last season in the loss.
