Valor Women's Soccer Hosts McPherson for Senior Day on Saturday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel women's soccer team returns home to honor their seniors for senior day on Saturday (Oct. 19) afternoon at noon against McPherson College.

OPENING STORYLINES 

  • Evangel Women's Soccer fell on the road against #9 Oklahoma Wesleyan on Wednesday, holding the Eagles to just two goals, 0-2

  • The Valor currently hold a 5-6-1 record, building back up after starting the conference season off with losses, having won four of their last five matches.

  • McKenzie Calhoun leads the Valor in nearly all offensive categories, currently with 20 shots, 11 of which were on goal, and four goals.

  • Rylee Clapp has recorded 75 saves so far this season, averaging 6.8 per game.

  • Evangel will match up with McPherson for just the second time in program history, leading the series, 1-0, after taking a win last season, 2-0.

LOOKING AHEAD

Evangel Women's Soccer hosts the Southwestern College Moundbuilders at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 23) evening in their penultimate home match of the season.
