Valor Men's Soccer Takes on McPherson at Home on Saturday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After falling on the road to #2 Oklahoma Wesleyan, Valor Men's Soccer returns home for their Honoring First Responders game, hosting the McPherson College Bulldogs at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 19) afternoon.

OPENING STORYLINES 

  • Valor Men's Soccer fell on the road against the 2nd ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles on Wednesday, 0-6.

  • Four different Valor athletes recorded shots in the loss on Wednesday.

  • Igor Ovcarevic currently leads Evangel in assists this year with five.

  • Ted Okoroh leads the Valor in minutes played this year, currently with 941.

  • Rem Harmsworth has been the catalyst for Evangel offensively, leading the charge with six goals so far this season.

  • Ryan Garner has recorded 39 saves so far this year to lead the team, averaging 3.9 per game.

  • Evangel and McPherson match up for the second time in program history after both teams tied last season.

LOOKING AHEAD 

Valor Men's Soccer hosts the Southwestern College Moundbuilders on Wednesday (Oct. 23) night at 7:30 p.m. in their penultimate home game of the season.
