Valor Men's Soccer Looks to Upset OKWU on the Road on Wednesday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After fighting back to earn a draw on the road on Saturday against a tough Bethel squad, Valor Men's Soccer hits the road to take on the 2nd ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles, looking to pull off the upset win at 7:30 p.m. in Bartlesville.

OPENING STORYLINES 

  • Two late goals from Rem Harmsworth pushed Evangel to a draw on Saturday, 3-3.

  • Igor Ovcarevic currently leads Evangel in assists this year with five, two coming in the draw on Saturday.

  • Harmsworth leads Evangel in goals this season, currently with six, in his senior campaign.

  • Ted Okoroh has helped anchor the Valor backline this season, currently leading the team in minutes played.

  • Evangel and Oklahoma Wesleyan match up for just their second time in program history on Saturday, with Evangel trailing 0-1, after falling 4-0 last season.

LOOKING AHEAD 

Valor Men's Soccer returns home and will honor local first responders on Saturday (Oct. 19) afternoon at 2:30 p.m., taking on the McPherson Bulldogs at Coryell Field.
