Valor Men's Soccer Host Kansas Wesleyan on Saturday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After falling in their conference opener against Avila, Evangel Men's Soccer returns home on Saturday (Sept. 16) afternoon, taking on the Coyotes of Kansas Wesleyan, in Springfield, Missouri at 2:30 p.m.

OPENING STORYLINES 

  • Evangel has opened the season with a 4-1 record, falling in their last matchup against Avila, 2-0.

  • Despite falling on Wednesday, the Valor did not allow a single shot on goal in the loss. 

  • Ted Okoroh leads Evangel in goals and assists this season, currently with four and five, respectively.

  • Nine different athletes have recorded goals this season for Evangel.

  • Evangel is currently averaging four goals per game and has yet to allow an opponent to score a goal (two own goals on Wednesday).

  • Evangel takes on Kansas Wesleyan for the first time in program history on Saturday.

LOOKING AHEAD

Evangel remains at home, taking on the Friends Falcons at 5:30 p.m. in Springfield, Missouri, on Wednesday, September 20th.
