Valor Men's Soccer Hosts Sterling in Crucial KCAC Matchup on Friday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After falling to Southwestern College on Wednesday, Valor Men's Soccer has a quick turnaround, playing host to the Sterling College Warriors as part of homecoming festivities on Friday (Oct. 20) evening at 5:30 p.m.

OPENING STORYLINES 

  • Evangel fell to Southwestern, 2-0, on Wednesday night.

  • Evangel looks to keep their postseason hopes alive on Friday, as they currently have eight points in conference play, placing them 10th in conference.

  • The Valor have scored 23 goals this season, the second most in program history (30, 2016).

  • Ted Okoroh leads Evangel in goals and assists this season, currently with five and six, respectively.

  • Thirteen different athletes have recorded goals this season for Evangel.

  • Evangel is currently averaging 1.85 goals per game and are allowing just 1.00 goals per game, the best defensive mark in the conference.

  • Evangel and Sterling compete in their first ever matchup all-time on Friday.

LOOKING AHEAD

Evangel remains at home on Wednesday (Oct. 25) evening to host the Ottawa Braves, beginning at 7:30 p.m., for senior night.
