SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Mount Mercy scored a pair of goals in each half, relying on a shutdown defensive effort to post a 4-0 victory over the Evangel men's soccer club in Heart of America Athletic Conference action Saturday evening at Coryell Field.
Jose Leite scored the go-ahead goal off of a free kick in the 21st minute, and the Mustang defense limited EU to just two shots on goal for the night.

- Jose Perez Piqueras posted the shutout in goal for Mount Mercy
- Yu Sasaki added his 13th goal of the season with just under 14 minutes to play in the opening stanza
- Jordan Webb extended the lead to 3-0 with his goal less than 10 minutes into the second half, before Oguzhan Bozkan completed the scoring in the 68th minute
- EU recorded shots on goal by Vitor Cositorto and Caleb Dix
- Webb led Mount Mercy with three shots, and was one of four Mustangs to finish with two shots on goal
- Zeke Brown registered eight saves for the Valor in goal
- Mount Mercy finished with a 20-9 advantage in total shots
