SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Evangel men's soccer team was defeated by Missouri Valley on Wednesday night by a score of 5-0.
It seemed like the Crusaders were on the back foot for the majority of the game and had to spend most of the game fighting off pressure from the Vikings all night.
Missouri Valley scored four of their goals in the first half and one in the second. They had 18 shots, 11 on goal for the night.
The Crusaders were led by Tobi Mustapha, Ian Creech, and Drew Flippin who each had one shot on goal.
Jacob Holman spent the majority of the game in goal and made five saves while allowing five goals. Chase Denney spent some time in between the sticks in relief and made one save.
