Evangel holds a slim 8-7 lead in the all-time series. The Bobcats won the first meeting this season in Springfield, 86-63.
OPENING STORYLINES
► Evangel begins the final month of the regular season on the road at No. 11 Peru State on Saturday. The Crusaders hold a slim lead in the all-time series as the Bobcats won the first meeting in Springfield 86-63.
► After Wednesday night's three-point loss at MidAmerica Nazarene, Evangel has played 10 games within 10 points or less. Among those 10 games, the Crusaders are 3-7 in closing out tight ball games.
► Junior
Clark Brewington continues to climb the three-point charts in the Evangel record books. The Arkansas native has moved into the top 20 with 116 career three-pointers setting career highs this season in points, three-pointers made and scoring average.
► Since the start of the new year, Evangel has been tough on the glass. The Crusaders have only been out-rebounded three times in eight games. During that time freshmen,
Ike Egwu (6.4 rpg) and
Cade Coffman (5.8 rpg) have led Evangel in rebounding.
Evangel returns to the Ashcroft Center Wednesday against Culver-Stockton. Evangel looks for a season sweep of the Wildcats with tipoff at 7:30 p.m.
