SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel men's basketball team looks to snap its skid Saturday at Clarke in Heart of America Athletic Conference action.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel holds a 2-1 lead over Clarke in the brief series. However, the Pride took an 82-77 win in the only meeting last season.
OPENING STORYLINES
► Evangel looks to snap an eight-game skid on Saturday at Clarke. The Crusaders lead the brief all-time series 2-1 as the Pride won last year's only meeting 82-77.
► The tough early-season schedule for the Crusaders have seen four of the last six games coming against teams in the Coaches Top 25.
► Four freshmen have worked their way into the rotation for Evangel and each has taken turns leading the Crusaders in scoring.
Cade Coffman led the Crusaders in each of the last two games with 20 points against Peru State and 15 against College of the Ozarks.
Ike Egwu was the leading scorer on Thursday and
Edriel Martinborough earned honors on Tuesday.

Clark Brewington (Pocahontas, Ark.) still leads Evangel in scoring at 13.4 points per game. Brewington is just five threes away from 100 for his career and would be the 24th Crusader to make 100 three's in a career as he enters with 26 this season after a career-best 42 last season.
LOOKING AHEAD
Evangel takes a week off as they return home to host Mount Mercy on Saturday, Dec. 15. Tipoff from the Ashcroft Center is scheduled for 2 p.m.
