SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel men's basketball team look to snap a three-game skid Tuesday night as the Crusaders host Central Methodist.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel leads the all-time series with the Eagles, 43-29. Evangel lost both meetings with Central Methodist last season including a 94-88 double-overtime loss in Springfield.
OPENING STORYLINES
► Evangel returns to the Ashcroft Center Tuesday night to host Central Methodist in Heart of America Athletic Conference action. The Crusaders enter looking for their first league win after falling at William Penn on Saturday while CMU sits at 1-1 after a one-point loss at Peru State.
► Evangel is looking to snap a three-game skid heading into Tuesday's game. Without Saturday's William Penn loss, the Crusaders have lost their other three games by a combined 11 points with two games being three points or less.
► Junior
Clark Brewington (Pocahontas, Ark.) continues to lead Evangel in scoring at 16.2 points per game. Senior
Luke Call (Mt. Vernon, Mo.) posted his first 20 point game of the year at William Penn after knocking down six three-pointers.
► Freshman
Cade Coffman (Mtn. Grove, Mo.) continues to help lead Evangel on the boards at 6.4 rebounds per game. Coffman is also averaging 10.2 points per game and ranks 12th nationally in offensive rebounding.
LOOKING AHEAD
Evangel heads to Baker on Monday for a South Division matchup with the Wildcats. Tipoff from Baldwin City, Kansas, is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
