OSKALOOSA, Iowa – Evangel dropped their first conference game in a 61-53 affair with (RV) William Penn on Saturday.

The Crusaders kept the game close through three quarters and even had the lead after the third, but a 10-0 start to the fourth for the Statesmen proved to be too much for the Crusaders to overcome.

In the loss, Brianna Vogts had her first double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Lexie Vaught and Mackenzie Farmer both led the Crusaders with 12 points, followed by Vogts with 11, and Anne Marie Anibal with 10.

Brianna Vogts had the most rebounds, followed by Sydnee Garrett with 7.

What's Next

Evangel comes home with a match against No. 11 Central Methodist in the Ashcroft Center on Tuesday, Nov. 20. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
