WBCA Recognizes Three Evangel WBB Athletes & Coach Madi Wallace

Full WBCA All-American List

ATLANTA, Ga. – On Monday morning, a trio of Evangel Women's Basketball athletes were honored for their exceptional 2025-26 seasons. Junior Heaven Shockley was named a WBCA All-American, joining nine others in the NAIA to earn the honor. Senior Carson Dillard and Graduate Cassidy Hambelton were also honored, earning honorable mention All-American status from the WBCA. Head Coach Madi Wallace was also named as a finalist for the WBCA NAIA Head Coach of the Year and was named to the illustrious WBCA 30 under 30 club, awarded to the top up and coming women's basketball coaches in the nation, regardless of division.

Shockley, a Springfield, Mo., native, concluded her junior season by leading the Valor in scoring, averaging 14.7 points per game, while also pulling down 6.8 rebounds per contest. Heaven also recorded the highest block total on the team with 65, earning first team honors in the KCAC, as well as being named the Newcomer of the Year and to the All-Defensive team in the conference.

Dillard, a Farmington, Ark., native, concluded her Evangel career by demonstrating her sharpshooting capabilities, leading the Valor in three point makes, nailing 79 this season, while averaging 13.4 points per game. For her efforts, Carson was named to the KCAC's second team.

Hambelton, a Dora, Mo., native, had an exceptional season with the Valor, averaging 12.7 points per game, while also passing off 171 assists, the sixth most per game in the nation (5.5). Cassidy also led Evangel defensively with 87 steals this season, helping to earn a spot on the KCAC All-Defensive team, as well as the KCAC First Team.

Head Coach Madi Wallace went 28-3 in her first season at Evangel, which is already the seventh most wins for a coach at Evangel, passing Preston Beverly (27) and Don Pearson (5). The .903 winning percentage in 2025-26 is the best single season winning percentage in EU WBB history, while the Round of 32 finish was the highest since the 2004-05 season. For her efforts, Wallace was named KCAC Coach of the Year back in February.

Evangel concluded its season with a 28-3 overall record, winning the KCAC regular season and conference tournament championship, while advancing to the second round of the NAIA National Tournament.
