SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel wins a rematch on Saturday afternoon against Park University, 69-52.

In the first game, the game went down to the wire with Evangel escaping with a 62-60 win. This time around, the Crusaders dealt more handedly with their opponents and the game was never really in doubt.

The Crusaders jumped out to a 20-14 lead in the first quarter, but the Pirates kept it close in the second  to go to half trailing 34-27. However a 21-7 third quarter put the Crusaders firmly in control.

Lexie Vaught led all scorers with 21 points, followed by Brianna Vogts with 14 and Anne Marie Anibal with 12. Vaught was also the leading rebound with eight, followed by Vogts and Sydnee Garrett both with seven.

What's Next

Evangel continues their homestand with a game on Monday, Nov. 12 against Missouri Baptist. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
