MARSHALL, Mo. – A flurry of second-half goals pushed the nation's No. 2 ranked team, Missouri Valley past the Evangel men's soccer team Tuesday night in Heart of America Athletic Conference action.

The Crusaders were able to fight with the 2nd-ranked team in NAIA trailing by just a goal from the Vikings coming in the 10th minute. The Vikings scored the only goal of the first half at the 10-minute mark by Sergio Toro.

The second half opened with three goals in the 58th minute and 64th minute by Miguel Fernandez and Joan Matorell.

Evangel jumped on the board when Austin Reinold found Dakota Nelson for the first goal of the season by Nelson. The goal cut the Viking lead to 4-1 in the 75th minute.

However, Missouri Valley added two more late goals in the 84th and 87th minute to push the lead to 6-1.
