SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Reggine Brown made the first of 12 three-pointers just 30 seconds into the game as the Evangel women's basketball team cruised to an 83-63 victory over Peru State on Saturday in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. 

Evangel made seven three-pointers in the first half building a 45-29 lead at the half. The Crusaders also forced 20 turnovers and led by as many as 21 before finishing off the Bobcats. 

Brown led the way with a game-high 17 points as five players finished in double figures for Evangel. Taylor Longley added 13 points while Alison Jarrell chipped in with 11 points. 

Peru State was led by Deandra Williams who scored 13 points and pulled down six boards.
