POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. – The Evangel University volleyball team swept a pair of matches Friday evening with a 3-1 win over Kentucky Christian and a 3-0 sweep against Fisk (Tenn.) at the College of the Ozarks Chick-Fil-A Classic. 

The Crusaders made quick work of Fisk in the nightcap hitting .357 as a team and holding the Bulldogs to a .022 hitting percentage. Morgan Kensinger led Evangel offensively with 11 kills in the win. 

The first match of the tournament saw Evangel rally back after dropping the first set to the Knights of Kentucky Christian. The Crusaders would storm back however paced by a triple-double from Kensinger who was impressive with 13 kills, 10 digs, and 11 blocks. 

Jackie Fugate and Jorden Stacey also recorded double-doubles as Stacey tallied 21 assists and 14 digs.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE                     
- Evangel held both opponents on Friday to a season-low starting with Kentucky Christian posting a .021 percentage and Fisk who finished at .022 clip.

- The Crusaders finished with just nine errors against Fisk in the nightcap. It was the third time this season Evangel tallied single-digit errors.

- Kensinger tied a season-high 11 blocks against Kentucky Christian. It also marked her first triple-double of the season

- Evangel has won six straight matches and seven of their last eight.

UP NEXT
The Crusaders finish action at the College of the Ozarks Chick-Fil-A Classic on Saturday against Johnson & Wales at noon. They will close out tournament action at 4 p.m. against Central Christian.
