LAMONI, Iowa – A cold second half was too much for the Evangel University men's basketball team to overcome falling 70-78 at Graceland on Monday night.

The Crusaders shot 50 percent from the field in the first half and trailed by just one point at intermission. However, Evangel shot just 30 percent in the second half as Graceland was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line.

Evangel knocked down nine three-pointers in the loss as Graceland out-rebounded the Crusaders 47-31. The Yellowjackets were led by Jeremy Deemer's double-double with 19 points and 14 boards.

Josiah Thomas led the Crusaders with 13 points as teammates Josue Levy and Richard Chapman each finished with 12 points.
