CANTON, Mo. – Kyler Moore scored the only goal for the Evangel University men's soccer team as they fell, 3-1, at Culver-Stockton in Heart Conference action Friday night.
Moore's goal came less than a minute after Greg McCrudden of Culver-Stockton scored the game's first goal in the 28th minute. The Sunrise Beach, Missouri, native added to his team-best goal total with number eight on the season. The goal for Moore came in the 29th minute.
However, the Wildcats would score what was the game-winning goal in the 42nd minute on a goal from Alejandro Mentasti. It was also the eighth goal of the season for Mentasti.
Culver-Stockton added an insurance goal just before halftime from Jeronimo Este in the 44th minute.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Ryan Harrisskitt finished with seven saves in the loss for Evangel in net.
- Evangel was out-shot 23-10 by Culver-Stockton while the Crusaders managed just three shots on goal.
- Friday's road match ends a streak of three straight road games. Evangel has also played six of their last nine games away from Coryell Field going back to September 9.
