FAYETTE, Mo. – The Evangel University men's soccer team fell 6-0 Wednesday night to No. 22 Central Methodist in Heart of America Conference action. 

The Eagles quickly took a 1-0 lead in the 15th minute on a goal from Jackson Darnell with an assist from Rafael Ortiz. Central Methodist scored again off a deflection in the 21st minute and would take a 3-0 lead into halftime as Ortiz scored on a goal from Jackson in the 29th minute. 

The Crusaders were held without a shot in the first period and out-shot again in the second half. Ryan Harrisskitt and Josiah Dinwiddie each played a half and recorded 13 saves total. 

UP NEXT
The Crusaders return home for their final regular season home match as part of Homecoming festivities Saturday against William Penn. Action from Coryell Field is set to start at 1:30 p.m.
