Evangel hosts 13th ranked MNU: The Crusaders host 13th ranked and conference co-leader MidAmerica Nazarene Thursday night at the Ashcroft Center.

Evangel is 5-15 and 4-8 in the Heart America conference. The Crusaders enter the game in sixth place in the league standings. Evangel is coming off of a 62-58 loss at Culver-Stockton on Saturday.

MidAmerica Nazarene is 18-5, tied for first place in the conference with an 11-1 record and are ranked 13th in NAIA-I. The Pioneers have won six straight and nine of their last 10 games. They won at Missouri Valley 71-68 on Saturday. MidAmerica Nazarene and Benedictine are tied for the conference lead entering play Thursday.

Evangel lost at MidAmerica Nazarene 56-53 on Jan. 8 in a game decided in the closing seconds. The Crusaders are 41-21 against the Pioneers all-time but have lost their last seven meetings against them head-to-head. Evangel's last win against MidAmerica Nazarene came Feb. 11, 2011 at the Ashcroft Center.

 

Next: Evangel travels to Graceland Saturday for their next game. Tipoff is at 2 p.m. in Lamoni, Iowa.
