Lamoni, Iowa -- Evangel pulled away from Graceland in the second half for a 75-48 win Saturday in Lamoni, Iowa.
Leading by nine at halftime, the Crusaders outscored Graceland 21-10 in the third quarter and 22-15 in the fourth period to win by 27.
Allison Swanson led four Evangel players in double-figures with 16 points. The junior from Omaha, Nebraska added six rebounds and two blocked shots. Alison Jarrell had 11 points while Reggine Brown and Mackenzie Farmer both added 10 points each.
Evangel held Graceland to 29 percent shooting from the field as the Yellowjackets were just 15 for 52 from the field. The Crusaders only committed eight turnovers while forcing 23 from Graceland.
The Crusaders improved to 3-6 and 2-2 in the Heart of America conference. Graceland dropped to 1-8 and 0-4 in the league.
Evangel is idle until a Dec. 30 exhibition game at NCAA-I opponent Texas Pan-American. Their next regular season game is a conference battle at Benedictine on Jan. 2.
