Springfield, Mo. – Evangel rallied from 15 points down midway through the third quarter to win 66-65 over Grand View on Saturday at the Ashcroft Center.

The Crusaders were down 44-29 with 5:53 remaining in the third period but managed to pull within five at the end of the quarter trailing 52-47.

A Mackenzie Farmer three-pointer with 5:59 left in the game gave Evangel a 59-56 lead and the Crusaders never trailed again holding on for a one-point win.

Farmer, a freshman from Mount Vernon, led the Crusaders with 21 points and 11 assists. Alison Jarrell hit five three-pointers to finish with 15 points.

Taylor Nasher had 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Vikings.

Evangel went to 2-5 and 1-1 in the Heart of America conference. Grand View dropped to 4-2 and 1-1 in the league.

Evangel plays at Missouri Western on Friday in the first of two games in the Missouri Western Thanksgiving Classic.
