Marshall, Mo. – Evangel men's soccer fell 5-0 to the 8th ranked Missouri Valley Vikings at Gregg-Mitchell Field in Marshall, Missouri Wednesday night. 

Missouri Valley got on the board in the first half on a header by Raul Beneit in the 24th minute and Fabio Calderon would make it 2-0 at the half on a goal in the 44th minute. 

Missouri Valley's Juan Carlos Heras extended the Vikings lead in the second half to 3-0 on a goal in the 48th minute.  Missouri Valley scored two late goals in the 87th and 88th minutes to finish off the scoring.  Crusaders goal keeper Adrian Plascenia recorded 11 saves on the night. 

With the loss, Evangel's record drops to 0-11 on the season and 0-7 in the Heart of America conference. Missouri Valley improved to 11-2 and 6-1 in the conference. 

Evangel is next in action on Saturday, October 17th when they travel to Des Moines, Iowa for a Heart of America Conference matchup with Grand View. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00pm.
