HIGHLIGHTS

QUOTABLE

"Today had its moments when things looked like they were clicking - and then moments surfaced. This led me to believe that I had not provided enough clarity in training to get us to execute as we needed to. The potential is all over this team, and now it is up to me to help them put it into action," Women's Soccer Head Coach Bruce Deaton stated. "The adjustments made during the game will help us out in future matches as they got experience in a new structure on the field. Non-conference play is about learning and being pushed and with that comes growing pains at times. We learned from today by recognizing what our opponent did differently than us today and that will help us progress towards our two remaining non-conference matches and into conference play starting next month. As hard as matches and days like this can be, it will prove to be very beneficial to us as the season unfolds!"
