NEW ORLEANS, La. – In the first U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) outdoor rating index of the season, the Evangel Valor women's track and field squad were ranked 6th in the nation while the men's team ranked 22nd.
The Evangel women has three individuals and two relay teams with top eight marks in the NAIA. Autumn Nold's 400 time of 55.40 seconds currently ranks third, while Delaney Miller's 1.70m high jump ranks fourth. April Phillips currently holds the seventh top high jump (1.67m) and triple jump (11.67m), while the women's 4x100 (Gabrielle Pitts, Nold, Taylor Collins, Morgan Lilly) also ranks seventh. The women's 4x400 meter team (Pitts, Jayleign Flood, Sydney Bryan, Nold) rounds out top eight performances for EU in the nation, sitting at eighth.
Alex Richardson leads the Valor men with the eighth top mark in the nation in Javelin, with a throw of 60.07m, while the men's 4x800 relay team (Alexander Worthley, Ethan Smith, Bryce Coday, Ethan Montgomery) ranks fourth in the nation for their respective event.
In the KCAC, Saint Mary is currently ranked #16 on the men's side, while Saint Mary ranks #7 and Friends ranks number #21 on the women's side.
