The Basics

Record: Evangel (4-4-2, 2-4-1), York (8-2-1, 5-1-1)

Location: York, Neb. (Cornerstone Complex)

YORK, Neb. – Evangel Men's Soccer hit the road on Saturday (Oct. 10) afternoon, taking on the York Panthers in Nebraska. Looking to break a bit of a losing skid, the Valor could only put forth a pair of second half shots, falling 2-0 on the road on Saturday.

The Valor were unable to muster much of anything offensively in the first half, as on their best chance they were called offsides. Evangel's defense played well to keep York off the scoreboard for much of the first half, but the Panthers would net their first goal of the match at the 39:54 mark, taking a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.

Just 36 seconds into the second half, the Panthers extended their lead to 2-0 over Evangel. Senior Juyong Kim recorded both of Evangel's lone shots on goal in the second half, but the Valor could not score, falling 2-0 in full time on Saturday to the York Panthers.
