TOPEKA, Kan. – Valor Track and Field returned to action on Friday at the Washburn Rust Buster, their first meet after Christmas break.Â
For the Evangel women, Autumn Nold broke the 800 meter record, running a 2:19.29 and placing fourth overall. Gabrielle Pitts tied the Evangel school record in the long jump with a third place finish and mark of 5.54 meters.
On the men's side, Peyton Ligon led EU by finishing eighth in the high jump with a mark of 1.99 meters.
Both Jayleign Flood (43.77) and Benjamin Ipock (35.98) set the school record in the indoor 300 meter dash, the first competitors on record to run the event.
