Evangel Women's Soccer Concludes Homestand with Matchup Against KWU

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Soccer plays host to the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes on Saturday (Sept. 27) afternoon, their final game in their homestand before opening a two-game road stretch next week.

OPENING STORYLINES 

  • The Valor fell to the Avila Eagles on Wednesday night in a tight battle, 1-0.

  • Evangel is led offensively by freshman forward Amaura Austell, who has scored a team-high four goals so far this season.

  • Sarah Wilkins leads Evangel in minutes played, averaging just over 74 minutes per contest.

  • Evangel will match up with Kansas Wesleyan for just the third time in program history, defeating the Coyotes back in 2023 at home, 3-1, with McKenzie Calhoun scoring a pair of goals in the win.

LOOKING AHEAD

Evangel hits the road next Saturday (Oct. 4) evening at 5:00 p.m. to take on the Bethany College Swedes in Lindsborg, Kansas.
