SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Volleyball travels to Kansas City on Wednesday (Sept. 24) evening, taking on the Avila Eagles in their second KCAC matchup of the season.
First serve is set for 7:00 p.m., as EU looks to earn their second win in conference play.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel took a pair of wins on the road last season, defeating Central Baptist and NCAA D-II Arkansas-Monticello in straight sets.

Wakley leads Evangel with 209 kills so far this season, averaging 3.07 per set.

Brooklyn Claxton has taken the team lead in assists this year, currently with 314, while Jessica Pritchett sits just shy of the lead at 310. Both setters help the Valor average just over 12 assists per set as a team.

Senior Vivianna Sanchez leads the team with 113 blocks so far this year, currently averaging 1.66 per set, which is third in the nation.

Senior Kenna Wise has continued to be strong defensively, currently with 343 total digs to lead the team, averaging 5.04 per set, which is fourth in the conference.

In the all-time matchup, Evangel leads Avila, 36-17-1, currently on a 4-game winning streak against the Eagles.
LOOKING AHEAD
Valor Volleyball will travel to Salina, Kan., to take on Kansas Wesleyan and Haskell at the KWU Tri-Match. Games begin at 11 AM in Salina on Saturday (Sept. 27) morning.
