The Valor were victorious on Saturday, defeating the McPherson College Bulldogs, 1-0, to earn their first conference win of the season.

Evangel is led offensively by freshman forward Amaura Austell, who has scored a team high four goals so far this season.

Senior goalkeeper Rylee Clapp and the Valor defense bounced back in a big way on Saturday, shutting out the Bulldogs offense.

Evangel will match up with Avila for the eighth time in program history, trailing in the series, 5-2. EU fell last season in the conference tournament quarterfinals, 2-0.
