SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Valor Volleyball concludes their road trip on Wednesday (Sept. 3) evening, taking on longtime rival, College of the Ozarks, at 6:00 p.m. in Point Lookout, Missouri.

OPENING STORYLINES 

• Evangel went 3-1 last week at the Texas Two-Step, falling to (RV) Texas Wesleyan, but defeating #21 Nelson, Huston Tillotson, and Louisiana Christian.

• The Valor are currently led offensively by Bella Wakley, who currently has 84 kills and 11 service aces.

• The duo of Jessica Pritchett and Brooklyn Claxton has helped the Evangel offense click, as Pritchett currently leads the team with 140 assists, while Claxton has 122.

• Defensively, Vivianna Sanchez has been everywhere, being named the KCAC Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts. Sanchez leads Evangel with 40 blocks so far this season, the most in the conference.

• Kenna Wise leads the team in digs with 150 and is fourth in the conference in digs per set, averaging 5.36.

• Evangel takes on College of the Ozarks on Wednesday in their 113th all-time matchup, currently trailing the Bobcats, 48-59-5, but have taken the last three consecutive matches in the series with their rival.

LOOKING AHEAD

Valor Volleyball competes in their home opening tournament on Friday and Saturday (Sept. 5/6), taking on Bethany, Mission, and Texas A&M-Texarkana over the weekend.
