SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Cross Country opens their 2025 season on Friday (Aug. 29) evening, competing in the Spire Sunset Showdown in Leavenworth, Kansas.
The Valor women are set to run at 6:45 p.m, followed by the men who are set to compete at 7:15 p.m. at Saint Mary's XC course.

Returning for the Valor women from last season is Emily Harris (Sr., Nixa, Mo.), Anna McCune (Jr., Springfield, Mo.), Adriana McGregor (Jr., Lee's Summit, Mo.), Kadence Oehlschlager (Jr., Mount Vernon, Mo.), and Vanessa Perona (So., St. James, Mo.).

The Valor men return several runners, including NAIA national qualifiers Ethan Montgomery (Sr., Willard, Mo.), and Ethan Smith (Jr., Urbandale, Iowa).

Evangel's women add three incoming freshman and a junior transfer from Point Loma for the upcoming season, while the men add four incoming freshman.

Valor XC takes a week off and then competes in their lone home meet of the season, the Queen City Invitational, at Allison SportsTown in Springfield on September 13th with races beginning at 8:00 a.m.
