In the second set, William Woods grabbed an early lead that they would not relinquish, as Evangel came within two points of the Owls, 19-17, but a 6-2 run by the home team forced EU to fall, 25-19.
Evangel took advantage of attacking errors in the third set, as William Woods swung -.051 in the period, allowing the Valor to grab the lead. Kills from Bella Wakley and blocks from the Valor defense pushed EU to a dominant 25-12 win in the third set.
In EU's final set with William Woods, the Valor swung their highest offensive percentage of the game, with kills coming from the trio of Sanchez, Wakley, and Turner to push Evangel to a 25-18 win over the Owls.
The Valor took on Justice University in game two and dominated the entire game, taking a 3-0 sweep and holding Justice to just 11 points in sets two and three. In set one, Justice was able to draw within a point of the Valor lead, using several service aces to make it a 14-13 game. Charlotte Hawkins and Bella Wakley took over to close out the set, taking a 25-17 win in set one.
An 11-2 opening run in set two set the tone for the Valor as the offense could not be stopped. Kenna Wise and Addison Jones also showed off their serving prowess in the set, both recording service aces as the Valor took a 25-11 win in set two.
The final set of the weekend proved to be again dominated by Evangel, as Justice struggled to handle the Valor serves. Service aces were paired with kills and blocks from EU as Evangel took a 25-11 win in the final set, earning the win and moving to 4-0 on the season.
