SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel women's soccer team kicks off their 2025 season on Saturday (Aug. 23) evening, taking on the Williams Baptist Eagles at 6:00 p.m. at Coryell Field.
OPENING STORYLINES

The Valor are coming off a strong 8-7-3 2024 season that featured a postseason berth for the first time since the 2020 season.

Evangel returns leading scorers McKenzie Calhoun and Makayla Myers to the 2025 squad, as Calhoun netted five goals and Myers scored three last season.

Also returning for Evangel in 2025 is Rylee Clapp, a senior goalkeeper who allowed just 1.47 goals per contest last season.

Evangel will match up with Williams Baptist for the ninth time in program history, leading the series, 7-1. EU was victorious on the road last season, 2-0 with returner LoriAnn McClellan scoring a goal in the win.

Evangel Women's Soccer remains at home to host the William Woods Owls on Tuesday (Aug. 26) evening at 6:00 p.m. in Springfield.
