SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel University Athletics announced the addition of a pair of new staff members to the 2025-26 school year on Monday.
Clayton Uber joins the Valor Football coaching staff as a Running Backs coach and Special Teams Coordinator after playing four years at Evangel as an all-conference linebacker.
"I feel extremely blessed to have the opportunity to coach for Evangel University. Evangel holds a very special place in my heart, after playing here for four years and graduating from Evangel," stated Uber. "I can't wait to pour into the program that gave so much to me while continuing to shape this culture and build champions on and off of the field."
Jessy Bond joins the Valor Women's Soccer coaching staff as the Goalkeepers coach after serving in the same capacity as a student from 2022-2024. Bond also served as a member of the Sports Information Department as a student worker from Fall of 2022 to Spring of 2024 and served as the gameday ticket manager last season for the Athletic Department.
"I love being a part of the EUWSOC team and family!," Bond said. "Each girl that I have worked with is so special to my heart and I am not only looking forward to helping improve their game on the field, but also being a leader and mentor off the field."
"I am excited to have Jessy continuing to work with our goalkeepers. I have seen Jessy work with goalkeepers on the field, both here at Evangel and our camps, and share her walk and her faith with folks off the field, she is powerful in both places!!," stated head coach Bruce Deaton. "Jessy has a heart for the game, serving others to grow through the game, but even more than that, she has a commitment to serve and a heart for help lead people. I have been blessed to coach Jessy and now honored to coach alongside her."
