KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On NAIA National Awards Day, Evangel University athletes were honored with several academic awards for their hard work in the classroom.

16 Valor teams were named as NAIA Scholar-Team award winners. In order to be named as a NAIA Scholar-Team, requirements include a minimum team GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and include every varsity athlete that is listed on an eligibility certificate in the calculated GPA. Evangel's highest achieving GPA team was Women's Golf with a 3.9 cumulative GPA. Below are the 16 teams that achieved NAIA Scholar-Team honors.

Women's Golf - 3.9 GPA

Women's Cross Country - 3.74 GPA

Softball - 3.61 GPA

Women's Soccer - 3.6 GPA

Women's Outdoor Track and Field - 3.52 GPA

Women's Tennis - 3.52 GPA

Women's Indoor Track and Field - 3.48 GPA

Women's Basketball - 3.45 GPA

Women's Volleyball - 3.41 GPA

Men's Cross Country - 3.38 GPA

Men's Soccer - 3.26 GPA

Men's Outdoor Track and Field - 3.19 GPA

Men's Golf - 3.14 GPA

Men's Tennis - 3.14 GPA

Baseball - 3.08 GPA

Men's Indoor Track and Field - 3.03 GPA
