Full NFCA All-American List
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – On Thursday, Maddy Meierer earned her second All-American honor of the season, being named a first team NFCA All-American, the first time since 2009 that an Evangel Softball athlete has garnered the honor.
Maddy Meierer, a local Nixa, Mo., native, finished her strong 2025 campaign with the lowest ERA in the nation (0.88) and finished with a 24-6 record, the most wins for a pitcher in a single season at Evangel. Meierer also recorded 198 strikeouts and allowed opponents just a .167 batting average at the plate.
Meierer is the first Valor Softball athlete to earn NFCA All-American honors since Kendra Corbin and Breanna Canclini earned the honor in 2009 and is the first sophomore in Evangel history to take the award.
Evangel concluded its season with a 42-12 overall record, advancing to the opening round semifinals in their farthest placement since the 2006 NAIA College World Series team.
