WICHITA, Kan. – On Tuesday (Apr. 22) morning, Valor Men's Tennis athlete Angel Gomez earned KCAC All-Conference honors for his play in the spring 2025 season.
Gomez, a senior transfer from Oakland City, was named to the first team list and also earned KCAC Newcomer of the Year honors for his strong play this season.
Angel went 10-4 this season in singles play, serving as Evangel's #1 throughout the year and taking on the opponent's best competition. Gomez also earned six wins throughout the season in doubles play. For his efforts on the week of March 17th, Gomez was named the KCAC Men's Tennis athlete of the week, the first time a Valor men's tennis player has earned the honor.
The Valor Men's Tennis team opens KCAC Conference tournament play tomorrow (Apr. 23) in Lindsborg, Kansas, taking on the fourth seeded Sterling College Warriors.
