NEW ORLEANS, La. – In the first U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) outdoor rating index of the season, the Evangel Valor men's track and field squad were ranked 21st in the nation while the women's team ranked 22nd.
The Evangel women has two individuals with top 10 marks in the NAIA. Delaney Miller holds the top mark in the NAIA in High Jump (1.75m) while April Phillips ranks 10th in the Triple Jump (11.76m).
The Evangel men have three individuals with top 10 markes in the NAIA. Devyn Wright currently holds the 2nd best 400 meter time (46.60), while Koby Graham holds the sixth best Javelin throw (61.34m) and Alex Richardson holds the tenth best in Javelin (59.63m).
The USTFCCCA also compiles top teams in nation per event, with the Valor men ranking top 10 in four different events. The Valor men ranks second overall in Javelin, fourth overall in Discus, eighth overall in Hammer, and ninth overall in Shotput.
In the KCAC, Saint Mary is currently ranked #24 on the men's side, while Ottawa ranks #23 and Saint Mary ranks number #24 on the women's side.
