BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Evangel Baseball hit the road to open a three game series on Tuesday (Apr. 1) afternoon against the 11th ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles.
The Valor scored first on Tuesday and held a 2-2 tie heading into the third inning, but Evangel could not add any additional runs, falling 11-2 on the road to a strong Eagles squad.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Evan Baptiste opened Tuesday's game up with a double, coming around to score on a pair of groundouts to give EU a 1-0 lead.

Oklahoma Wesleyan scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 2-1 lead.

Evangel tied the game up 2-2 in the top of the second when Matthew Olson worked a walk and scored on a error.

The Eagles scored nine unanswered runs the remainder of the game, taking an 11-2 lead over EU as the Valor offense could not put forth enough offense to score additional runs, falling 11-2.
NOTABLE

Evan Baptiste and Clay Palen were bright spots for a Valor offense that mustered just seven hits, as Baptiste went 3-3 and Palen went 2-4.

Baptiste finished with a pair of doubles on Tuesday, continuing his streak of strong play.
