2026 SOFTBALL SCHEDULE
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Head softball coach Jay Halbrook announced the 2026 softball schedule on Tuesday, his 11th season at the helm of the Valor.
The 2025 season includes 16 home games and seven games against opponents who were featured in the first top-25 poll of the year, as well as matchups against NCAA D-II and D-III opponents.
Evangel opens their season with a single matchup against NCAA D-II Northwestern Oklahoma State, before taking part in the Branson Bash, hosted at the Branson RecPlex. The Valor will take on Olivet Nazarene and UHSP on Feb. 7 before taking on Crowley's Ridge and Stephens the following day. Evangel then competes in the Kansas City Invite, taking on Columbia and Doane on Feb. 13, before taking on former HAAC foe, Park, and Cottey on Feb. 14. The Valor will compete in the loaded NAIA SB Invitational in Shawnee, Oklahoma, taking on #8 Central Methodist and Bellevue on Feb. 20, before concluding the event against #2 Oklahoma City and #21 Hope International. EU will travel to Walnut Ridge, Ark., to take on the Williams Baptist Eagles on Feb. 24th for a doubleheader, before concluding the month of February at the Branson RecPlex Showtime Classic. Evangel will take on #9 USAO and Mission on Feb. 27 and finish the event with matchups against NCAA D-III Greenville and (RV) Morningside on Feb. 28.
Evangel opens the month of March back in Branson at the Grand Slam Classic, taking on Culver-Stockton and Stephens on Mar. 5 and Graceland and Cottey on Mar. 6. EU opens conference play and competes in their first true home matchup on Mar. 10 against the defending conference regular season champions, Friends, before heading back to Branson for the final time to take on Dakota State and Missouri Valley on March 11th. EU hits the road on Mar. 14 to take on Tabor before returning home for doubleheader matchups with York (Mar. 18) and Kansas Wesleyan (Mar. 21) which is this year's senior day. The Valor travel to Ottawa on Mar. 24, before concluding March with a home matchup against McPherson on the 28th.
Evangel opens the month of April on the road for a pair of doubleheaders, taking on Saint Mary (Apr. 1) and Sterling (Apr. 3), before returning home to take on Oklahoma Wesleyan (Apr. 7). EU takes on Bethany in Lindsborg, Kansas, on Apr. 11, before hosting Cottey (Apr. 14) and Avila (Apr. 15). April 18th will serve as the annual St. Jude Awareness game, as EU takes on Bethel in their final home doubleheader of the season. Closing out 2026 on the road, Evangel takes on Southwestern on Apr. 21 and Central Baptist on Apr. 24.
The KCAC Conference Tournament is hosted in Salina, Kansas from April 29th to May 1st, as the Valor look to defend their back-to-back conference tournament titles.
