OTTAWA, Kan. – Valor Men's Soccer returned to action on Wednesday (Oct. 8) evening, taking on a tough Ottawa Braves squad on the road. Evangel's offense could not put forth any shots on Wednesday, as the Ottawa defense stifled the EU offense, resulting in a 2-0 loss for the Valor.

Evangel was able to hold the Braves scoreless for the first 23 minutes of Wednesday's matchup, but Ottawa scored to take a 1-0 lead at the 24:03 mark. The Valor offense continued to work to try and get a shot attempt, but were unable to do so in the first half, trailing 1-0 at halftime.

Ottawa scored a quick goal to open the second half, extending their lead to 2-0 over Evangel. The EU offense could not put forth any strong attack attempts on Wednesday, as the Valor could not record a shot attempt or earn a corner, falling 2-0 on Wednesday.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Davide Marzoli recorded three saves in goal on Saturday.
