SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – On a cold and rainy Saturday (Oct. 25) afternoon, Valor Men's Soccer honored their seniors and alumni, while also taking on the Bethel College Threshers. Looking to try and take another win and move in the conference standings, Evangel and Bethel both battled to a 0-0 draw in a physical matchup in Springfield.

The Valor were able to out shoot the Threshers in the first half and the best chance to score came from Vasco Goncalves, who put a shot on goal that the Bethel keeper saved at the 37:45 mark, as both teams took a scoreless tie at the halftime break.

The second half proved to be physical, as both teams attempted to position themselves for a game winning score. From the 64th through the 66th minute, Evangel had their best attacking chance of the entire afternoon, using shots from Hayes Van Breusegen and Ruben Gonzalez that were again saved by the Bethel keeper. Neither team was able to add a late score, as both teams tied 0-0 in full time.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Davide Marzoli earned a save in goal and earned a clean sheet in the scoreless draw.
