ASHLAND, Neb. – Valor XC traveled north to Nebraska on Saturday (Oct. 25) morning, taking part in the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic, hosted by Doane. In what was another tough field of several top 25 programs, the Valor men finished 10th overall, while the women placed 16th.
The Valor women were led by a 54th place finish from Kadence Oehlschlager (23:26.89) in the 6k run, while Emily Harris (90th, 24:09.37) and Anna McCune (114th, 24:37.63) rounded out Evangel's top three finishes on Saturday.
The Valor men placed tenth as a team behind a 25th place finish from Ethan Montgomery (25:25.53). Nathan Hawbaker and Blake Smith rounded out Evangel's top three finishers on Saturday as Nathan placed 30th with a time of 25:34.66 and Blake finished 42nd with a time of 25:44.84.
