Evangel Women's Soccer Hosts Bethel on Saturday for Senior Day

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Soccer hosts the Bethel College Threshers on Saturday (Oct. 25) afternoon at 12:00 p.m., looking to bounce back and earn additional points to their conference total. Festivities for senior day are set to begin at 11:30 a.m.

OPENING STORYLINES 

  • The Valor fell to Friends on the road on Wednesday, 0-1.

  • Evangel is led offensively by freshman Amaura Austell, who has scored a team high eight goals so far this season.

  • Makayla Myers leads the team with five assists so far this year, while also scoring the second most goals on the team this season (5, tied with McKenzie Calhoun).

  • Currently, Evangel is sixth in the conference standings, while Bethel is tied for 11th overall. Only eight teams make the conference tournament.

  • Evangel will match up with Bethel for the fourth time in program history, earning a 2-1 win on the road last season.

LOOKING AHEAD

Evangel concludes their home regular season schedule on Wednesday (Oct. 29) evening, hosting the Saint Mary Spires at 5:00 p.m. in Springfield.
