SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball hosts the Southwestern College Moundbuilders on Wednesday (Jan. 8) evening at 5:30 p.m., as the Valor look to continue their four game conference winning streak.

SERIES HISTORY

Evangel will take on Southwestern in their fourth all-time matchup, as the Valor leads all-time, 3-0. In their last matchup with Southwestern, the Valor were victorious on the road, 96-68. 

OPENING STORYLINES

• Evangel took an 80-68 win over McPherson on Saturday, using a strong fourth quarter to overcome the Bulldogs. Ali Kamies led all scorers with 21 points, scoring 17 in the final quarter alone.

• Micah Clayton (19 pts.), Carson Dillard (16 pts.), and Emma Mullings (11 pts.) rounded out double digit scoring in Saturday's win.

• The Valor shot 50 percent on Saturday, their second best shooting percentage in a game this season.

• Carson Dillard leads the Valor offensively so far this season, averaging 11.5 points per game, while Ali Kamies (11.3), Kamie Jenkins (10.8), and Micah Clayton (10.6) round out double digit scoring averages.

• Carson Dillard scored 23 points to pace the Valor in their road win against Southwestern last season.

• Evangel is currently tied for sixth in the conference standings while Southwestern is tied for 12th.

LOOKING AHEAD

Evangel remains at home on Saturday (Jan. 11) afternoon, hosting the Bethany College Swedes at noon in AGFinancial Arena.
